Ruby Villa is set within an Eco-friendly resort. The natural design provides a deep sense of peace and harmony with the surrounding nature.  It minimizes waste, through an efficient design, simplicity and usage of long-lasting material. The art artifacts are all locally sources using local Balinese artist who are world-famous for their traditional art mastery.


To maximize space, the furniture is multi-functional, for example the living room table is a Kotatsu table, which raises from the floor and allow guests to sit comfortably around it. This eliminates the need for a dedicated table and chairs and the table is easily lowered when you want clear flat floor which enlarges the living room space when needed.


The Villa is built with ironwood structure and traditional pegged joints. Ironwood is long lasting as it safe from termites and is incredibly resistant to water. The Villa is designed for Bali climate and has 4 ways openness to the breeze coming from the rice fields to keep a cool and fresh air flow when needed.


Ruby Villa is located just 5 minutes from the center of Ubud. Bali. Ubud is the cultural and culinary center of Bali. Higher in elevation and, therefore, cooler than the hot beach resorts, it has a perfect weather most year-round. Ubud is a town with excellent shopping, restaurants, museums, dance, arts and crafts – a great center for tourism.

The Villa is nested adjacent to a traditional rice fields where you can see traditional farming on a daily basis. The local people are very friendly and all the workers in the resort are from the nearby village. They have plenty to give and will often invite you to share their festivals, tradition and food. You will witness Hindu ceremonies, daily offerings to the good, rounding up ducks in the rice fields, picking plants for food and the local kids flying kites over the rice fields in the afternoon – an amazing sight!
